On January 10, the Hancock County High School Quiz Bowl season concluded with its annual tournament, which was held at Liberty-Benton High School. The team from Liberty-Benton was the Tournament Champion, with the team from Cory-Rawson finishing as the Runner-Up. Members of the Championship Liberty-Benton HS Team are as follows: Seated: Bryce Foster, Jon Coldren, Donovan Stripe, Ben Leichty Standing: Kelley Foltz, Aiden Delehoy, Adrian Cottrell, Laura Romeiro, Isabella Deal and Mrs. Kelley Foltz is the advisor. Members of the runner-up team from Cory-Rawson include Abigail Aukerman, Blake Downing, Hannah Fornof, Hunter Foust, Wyatt Foust, Nate Gregorowicz, Azan Hayat, Trevor Hibbard, Morgan Huber, Carson Skulina, Connor Sons, Hank Walters and Trevor Welch. Mr. David Mertz is their team coach. Students participated in this annual competition from the eight area school districts. Districts included Arcadia, Arlington, Cory-Rawson, Liberty-Benton, McComb, Riverdale, Van Buren and Vanlue.
The Quiz Bowl program was offered through the Hancock County Educational Service Center.
