Today Holly Altman's HS class from Cory-Rawson and Kelly Godeke's HS class from Riverdale came to the ESC for our first Transition Information Day. Thanks to Danielle Doxsey from Findlay Culvers, Lara Beltz from Beltz Home Services, and McKenzie Chisko from GROB systems who became our Business panel. They spoke to the students about the job opportunities at each of their companies and the importance of good work ethics and many other soft skills needed to become successful employees. They also completed mock interviews with seniors and juniors. Students also had the opportunity to learn about the services available from NAMI Hancock County, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, Ohio Means Jobs, Disability Rights Ohio and the Work Advance program. Many thanks to all the agencies and businesses who joined us today.
Also a big thank you to Angie Toland the Hancock County ESC's Education Transition Specialist for coordinating this event!
