On January 8th, the Hancock County High School Quiz Bowl season concluded with its annual tournament, which was held at Liberty-Benton High School. The team from Liberty-Benton was the Tournament Champion, with the team from Cory-Rawson finishing as the Runner-Up. Members of the runner-up team from Cory-Rawson includes: Abigail Aukerman, Gabrielle Carpenter, Caleb Dudgeon, Tyler Egts, Hannah Fornof, Wyatt Foust, Nathaniel Gregorowicz, Trevor Hibbard, Olivia Overmyer, Elizabeth Snavley, Connor Sons, Hank Walters, Trevor Welch, Kaedyn Witteman, Noel Yeboah. Mr. David Mertz is their team coach. Students participated in this annual competition from the eight area school districts, including Arcadia, Arlington, Cory- Rawson, Liberty-Benton, McComb, Riverdale, Van Buren and Vanlue.
The Quiz Bowl program is offered annually through the Hancock County Educational Service Center.
